Code of Conduct

At Coastal Dry Tropics Landcare Inc. (CDTLI), we’re all about creating a positive and welcoming space for everyone who’s part of our community. That’s why we have a Code of Conduct – a set of guidelines that help us all work together respectfully and safely.

Think of the Code as a shared understanding of how we treat each other and how we look after our environment. It covers things like:

  • Being respectful and inclusive in our interactions, making sure everyone feels valued and safe. We have zero tolerance for bullying or discrimination.
  • Acting with honesty and integrity in everything we do, from our projects to our relationships with partners and the wider community.
  • Keeping sensitive information confidential, protecting the privacy of our members and stakeholders.
  • Prioritizing safety in all our activities, following Work Health and Safety (WH&S) guidelines, being mindful of restrictions on alcohol and drugs, and taking care of our equipment and resources.
  • Using mobile phones responsibly and dressing appropriately for the task at hand, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required on project sites.

The Code of Conduct is a guide for how we conduct ourselves in all our activities, and it complements any specific guidelines related to your role. It’s important to remember that if the Code isn’t followed, there may be consequences, such as warnings or disciplinary action. In serious cases, membership or employment could be affected.

We encourage you to read the full CDTLI Code of Conduct (link below) to get a complete picture of our expectations and our commitment to creating a respectful, safe, and thriving community for everyone. By working together and upholding these principles, we can ensure that CDTLI remains a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute to our shared mission.
